This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when a payment made to OnlinePropertyRegistration.in may be refundable, when cancellation may be accepted, and when professional or processing charges may be non-refundable after work has begun.
Initial consultation / processing fee: ₹199. Government fees, stamp duty, registration charges and other statutory payments are separate.
Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the service, the stage at which cancellation is requested, whether professional work has commenced, whether documents have already been reviewed or drafted, and whether any third-party or Government payments have been made.
The ₹199 initial consultation / processing fee is charged for reviewing the basic requirement, preliminary communication, initial assessment and explaining the apparent next step. Once consultation, review or processing activity has commenced, this fee is generally non-refundable.
If a user requests cancellation before any consultation, document review, drafting, legal scrutiny, processing or other professional work has commenced, the request may be considered for refund, subject to payment-gateway deductions or transaction charges, where applicable.
Once professional work has started, cancellation does not automatically entitle the user to a full refund. Charges may be retained for time spent, documents reviewed, drafting completed, research undertaken, consultation provided or other work already performed.
Where consultation has already been provided, the consultation fee is non-refundable, even if the user later chooses not to proceed with registration, drafting, scrutiny or other services.
Fees for title scrutiny, document review, legal analysis or property verification may be partly or wholly non-refundable once the review has begun, depending on the work already performed.
Fees paid for deed drafting, settlement drafting, release drafting, partition drafting, Power of Attorney preparation or other document preparation may be non-refundable once drafting has commenced or a draft has been prepared.
Reasonable revisions may be included where specifically agreed. Additional revisions, major changes to instructions, replacement parties, changed property particulars or substantially altered transactions may attract additional professional charges.
If the user fails to provide required documents or information after work has begun, the service may be kept pending or closed. Payments already applied toward professional work performed may not be refundable.
Government fees, stamp duty, registration charges, certified-copy charges, portal charges, search fees, statutory payments and other amounts payable to Government authorities are separate from our professional or processing charges.
Any refund of Government or statutory amounts is governed by the applicable law, Government rules, treasury procedure, portal policy or authority concerned. We cannot guarantee refund of amounts once remitted to a Government or statutory authority.
Payment gateways, banks or other service providers may deduct transaction or processing charges. Where a refund is approved, such charges may be deducted from the amount returned if they are not recoverable from the third-party provider.
If the same payment is accidentally made more than once for the same service, the user should contact us promptly with payment details. After verification, the duplicate amount may be refunded, subject to applicable gateway or banking deductions.
If an incorrect amount is paid, the matter will be reviewed based on the service requested. Any excess amount may be adjusted or refunded after verification, subject to the circumstances of the transaction and any applicable deductions.
A change of mind after consultation, review, drafting or processing has begun does not automatically create a right to refund. Refund eligibility is determined by the stage of work and professional services already rendered.
Professional fees are charged for legal, documentation, drafting, review, consultation or process assistance and are not contingent upon a guaranteed Government outcome. Accordingly, a refund is not automatically due merely because:
Where a paid service has not begun and no professional time or third-party expense has been incurred, a refund request may be considered. Approval depends on verification of the payment and service status.
Where part of the service has been completed, a partial refund may be considered after deducting fees for work already performed, consultation provided, documents reviewed, drafting completed and any unavoidable third-party charges.
Approved refunds are ordinarily returned through the original payment method where practicable. Processing time depends on the bank, card network, UPI provider or payment gateway and is outside our direct control.
After a refund request is approved, we will initiate the refund within a reasonable period. The time required for the amount to appear in the user's account depends on the relevant payment provider or banking system.
To request cancellation or refund review, contact us with sufficient information to identify the payment and service.
Requests may be sent by WhatsApp or email. Additional information may be requested before the refund request is decided.
Refund requests based on false statements, fraudulent payment claims, misuse of payment methods, unauthorised chargebacks or concealment of services already received may be rejected and may be dealt with according to applicable law.
Before initiating a bank or card chargeback, users are requested to contact us so that the payment and service status can be reviewed. Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may be disputed with supporting records.
